Song Story: Continuing on with the “songs that start with P” theme (not on purpose), this song started with a bass guitar loop groove that sounded to me very much like one of my favorite bands “The Cure.” So, I added Cure-like synth effects, did a very basic drum, and went to town. This one is probably one of my favorite instrumentals that I have written in the last few years that has not yet had lyrics added to it.

Story: This song was a melody that I worked on while I was in law school (a long time ago). Lyrically, it was a song that spoke of the turmoil of a vampire’s identity (wrote after reading one of Anne Rice’s novels), having to live by killing others, but it was a broader analysis on identity and the struggle to find it. It has that feel of inner struggle and sadness. Might be pretty autobiographical of how I was feeling at the time, trying to survive law school.
